Thanks to all who are interested in the replacement wheels for the 300-F. Hope to complete the first order, in the next 2 weeks, since there are so many owners who need the wheels right away. I have modified the web site: http://homepage.mac.com/awrdoc/PhotoAlbum5.html DO NOT CONTACT STOCKTON WHEELS DIRECTLY. THEY WILL NOT DEAL WITH YOUR INQUIRIES. The web site now contains a picture of a 300-C wheel compared to the new replacement wheel. The wheel was photographed by Michael Burke and sent to Bill Leahy. Please consider that in 1960, the regular hubcaps did not have any cleats, although the F hubcaps did. When Stockton Wheel did the R&D, they were only trying to retain the regular hubcaps thru the mechanism of protruding nubs that fit into matching recesses of the 1960 Chrysler hubcaps. When you view the 300-C wheel, it looks the same as the replacement wheel, to me anyway, except there are nubs and the replacement wheel is more substantial. I have a strong suspicion that this Mopar wheel face that Stockton is using can be used on other 14 inch applications. It also has the second row of holes to line up for other years??? I would think that if your cleated hubcaps would be retained on a regular rim, then snapping over 4 nubs would retain them even better. No nubs good, 4 nubs better? Wonder if they will fit a 1984 Chrysler? If you didn¹t read George Orwell disregard the last statement which will sound stupid. Anyhow, the mystery of wheels may or may not be so difficult to decipher. If you own a 1950s or 1960s letter car or non letter car, and it has 14 inch wheels and you need wide replacements that are made for radial tires, you may be in luck. Maybe one representative of each car year could order one wheel and test it out for compatibility, fitment and hubcap retention. Otherwise, you could ship me a wheel and a hubcap for comparison. Please reply all so that we can open this up to the group and draw on the combined experience of many. Wheels can be viewed @: http://homepage.mac.com/awrdoc/PhotoAlbum5.html Hi to all: Good news for those who own 1960 300-Fs and need modern replacement wheels that will accept radial tires. He can supply as many as we need. I have been quietly working with the owner of Stockton Wheel to produce replacement wheels for 300-Fs. He has found the proper wheel facings, made up the wheels and has welded the nubs and powder coated and shipped me a set of 5 replacement wheels. I am happy with them and have photographed and documented them. DO NOT CONTACT STOCKTON WHEELS DIRECTLY These wheels are only for 1960 and have raised bumps welded on the rims to retain the hubcaps. They will be powder coated with a shiny black. The wheels are going to be made to the specifications that are shown on the web site link below. If you are not comfortable with having the center bore 0.02 inch or approximately 1/64 inch larger, than the original wheels then, DO NOT ORDER THE WHEELS. The wheels are slightly wider than 6.5 inches wide, if you are not comfortable with this then DO NOT ORDER THE WHEELS. The wheels should be ordered with 3/4 bevelled modern lug nuts (RH thread only, sorry). WYSIWYG (WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET) Compatibility with others years¹ of 14 inch wheels can be explored in the future when wheels are delivered and multiple year owners report compatibility of fitment and hubcap retention on other years. I will be happy to work with other year owners of 14 inch wheels. If you are local, contact me and bring your original wheel and hubcap to compare with this wheel. Also, you could ship me a wheel and hubcap to have me compare them. 15 inch vented wheels are out of the question!!! As you know the replacement wheels, for 300-Fs were not feasible. I don¹t like to fail, but we came close. Short by only 4 NUBS!
