Ok Josh, but if it were my car, I certainly would not loose any sleep over it as the 58 engine is pretty well exactly the same engine as the 57 engine except for possibly some slight improvement. Again, the previous owner would not have replaced the engine unless it was blown. Now, I did not follow the build date on that car but if it was a late production 57 car, with all of the goofy things that chrysler did back in those days, they (chrysler) may have installed an early 58 300D engine. That's just my 2 cents worth.
