Hi Chrysler 300 Group I think I have just found the most "Insignificant Part" for a 61 Chrysler. While helping Mom clean out her house prior to moving to an apartment, I found the "key tags" for the 61 Chrysler Newport that my Dad purchased new in the spring of 61. Tags are on a ring with dealer ID indicating "beige and white 61 Chrysler 4 door Sedan. Tags are diamond shaped with rounded corners, hole in one end, made of aluminum. About one inch by 3/4 inch. Stamped on the tag- "Record number & Destroy tag" with the number "CV1419" on one of the tags, And the number "35CJ" on the other tag. One for the ignition and Door locks and the other for trunk and glove compartment???? These would go great with a build sheet and window sticker. Also photographed two barn Mopars after Christmas. 1. 57 Chrysler 300 C convert. White with white top, and the Interior is leather "TURQUOISE or AQUA MARINE" Color. I have never seen a 300 with a non tan interior. (Turquoise must have been popular in 57 as my folks built a house in 57 and Mom wanted turquoise trim with the brick) Car has been stored for over 25 years. Was hit in the front end. Has salvage yard fenders "hung on", bent bumper, bent hood, broken wind shield, good from the doors back. Interior is bad, door panels off, lots of parts in the back seat, Like air cleaners, etc. 70 some thousand on the odometer. I think actual. New owner started engine about 4 years ago. There are about 25 spinner wheel covers and numerous boxes of parts sitting on top of the car and hood, so I couldn't get a good look under the hood through a 3 inch opening and dim flashlight. I don't think the car is on the 300 Registry. Needs total restoration. 2. 59 Imperial Convertible. Light Yellow with black top ?? White leather interior. Very straight body, good original Paint, interior leather cracked and seams splitting, everything works. A class 3- at the best. But with a new top, some interior work, a set of wide whites and clean up, what a fun driver. 60 some thousand actual mileage. Garage stored since the late 60's, with top down. New owner has a storage building full of convertibles. He is a major GM Guy and Mopars are low on his priority. However he is currently working on a 59 Dodge D500 Crown Royal Convertible like he saw when he was a teenager. Thanks Group for help on fan clutch and aluminum trim restoration information.
