Yes, all 300's had the same 25 gal. gas tank. It appears Chrysler did not plan for routing the dual pipe on the driver's side and around the tank on any 65/66 Chrysler, but it can be done, in fact very well with 2 1/2" pipe. For my 300-L's, a local custom pipe bending shop can work around/beside the tank and have the tailpipes come straight out the back or turn down under the rear bumper. Expect a complete dual exhaust system to take a few hours to bend/install and set u back about $400 with glasspack or performance mufflers. Darrin P. Did all '65 300's , letter and non-letter, have the same gas tank and were they all mounted off-center to allow room for a single exhaust pipe on the passenger side? There seems to be enough room to run a pipe down the driver side and I'm sure that's what most people do. I wondered if there were two configurations for the tank, as I assumed letter cars would have come with dual pipes. Maybe I'm wrong?
