In 1960 I took on a 60 chev. with an American plate on it in Manitoba , Canada , in a race from about 50 mph to 135 mph, my 300-e would not go any better perhaps due to the fact that we were at about 1500 above sea level. Or the fact that it was difficult in those days to get anyone to tune two 4x4's in line carbs . I drove the car to Minneapolis once for a tune up to a Chrysler dealer but it didn't add more then 2 mph. Back to the initial story from 50 mph to around 90 I had a slight lead on him, then at 90 he caught up , never did pass me , but neither did I leave him in the dust. I wanted to stop the driver but was embarrassed to do so given that I had a couple of people in the car and I had of course said "no one goes around a 300" or even stays up with it... what was under the hood I do not know... only the result Meisner , Canada [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm Yahoo!
