I second that.
Unless something catastrophic has happened to destroy the unit, usually all that can go wrong is brushes, bearings, or diodes, all of which are readily available at less than the cost of a rebuilt unit.

I always have my original rebuilt.  Same for starters. I know that they
did work and they fit properly.  I know there are good rebuilt units at
parts stores but have seen too many  that had only been cleaned, failed
within days, or didn't fit properly.
