On my flat panel screen it looks like the lower hole in the vin plate has a
rivet in it. I cannot tell for sure about the upper hole. Did they start
putting rivets in vin plates in 1958??

Hi All:
A lot of good observations and comments on the ebay D.  I can't really  make

out the VIN for absolute sure.  Could be 1253, I suppose.   However, there
is 
a bit of self "incrimination" with that code plate on that  car.  The code 
plate shows 304 which is the code for power windows.   How many of you have
ever 
heard of anyone replacing power windows with crank up  type?  Also, as far
as 
I know---someone correct me if I am wrong----only  the Los Angeles built 
Chryslers located the code plate on the cowl top.  No  300Ds were ever built
in LA.
