Re: [Chrysler300] Console Anodizing

Hi,

I bought one of Ano-Brite's '67 GTX headlight bezels on eBay. They
said it was totally restored and the price wasn't too bad.

When I got the bezel, it looked great, but then I saw that they had
left pitting in the aluminum under the black paint. The bright
aluminum looked good. They wanted $250 to restore another bezel I
would provide if it was in good shape and $400 for the grill under
the same proviso.

For my money, Alltrim (http://www.alltrim.com/) is the gold standard
for aluminum restorations. They have made new castings of intricate
and difficult parts, such as 67 GTX tail light bezels, developing
them so that there were no issues of size or fit, which often happens
if one just make's a mold from an original. I bought a rear trunk
panel for my GTX from them, one that did not meet their standards,
assuming it would be good for a driver. It far surpassed my
expectations, almost like OEM. I believe Alltrim may be more
expensive than Ano-Brite, but there should be no doubt of the quality
or their concours restorations. It would be interesting to compare
the two company's work side by side.
