Hi all, My 25 cents worth on rodents. We have a chicken coop and rats love it because of the food and places to hide (under the floor and under the wood shavings has they pile up. We use a 2 step process for the holes in the floor: put rat poison into the hole followed by fine steel wool. These boogers eat anything so between the poison causing hemorrhaging and the steel wool cutting up their guts, I find the carcasses all over. I also have been replacing the floor a section at time. Plugging all the minute holes that they can get into is next to impossible, so the other suggestions sound good but cats are a very reliable method. If I could, I'd use a 20 gauge shotgun, but local laws prohibit firing a gun within 500 feet of a house. For what it's worth: I stopped by my friend's radiator shop in Meriden, CT to inquire about the radiator for my 64 K and his brother was just finishing up a car that had a horrible smell coming from the heater. He found a mother mouse and her brood dead in a nest in the fan impeller. The womans drives the car once a week but it doesn't have air conditioning so the critters had a nice home for awhile. Apparently the summer heat killed them. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
