[Chrysler300] headlight switch repair-1957

Hi group,

I figured out why my headlights weren't going on.

It appears the metal bracket that is supposed to be connected from one end of the circuit breaker to the terminal marked "H" on the switch (which has green wire connected to it) seems to be disconnected. My eyes aren't quite good enough to see anymore. Is that bracket supposed to be riveted to the back of the switch, or is there a small screw that secures it to the back of the switch, which would also make contact with the terminal that has the green wire attached to it?

If I put a small screwdriver in the hole in the bracket, and make the connection from the bracket to the copper I can see down in the hole, then the green wire is energized and I have headlights!

I just can't tell if there is a screw missing to make this connection, or if a rivet broke off many years ago.

Any comments appreciated.

John
