That means the 56 Plymouth Fury, and the 56 Dodge D-500 were the first.  
Do you know the first stock car to break the 100 mph in the 1/4 mile?    
1957 Dodge D-500.   Now I know of a few so called muscle cars that 
didn't hit 100 mph
   When Bill  " Maverick" Gouldon and I  were racing our 60 Dodge Darts 
383 Ram Induction  at Lions Drag strip  I used to run in the mid 90's 
bone stock with just some super dyno tuning.  But Bill had a little 
factory help( I believe)    if I remember right he ran some 102's. when 
he went to 4.56 gears.   They will never convince me it all started in 
1964.  Thats just GM propaganda.    Thats just my died in the wool 
MOPAR  feelings.
