[Chrysler300] Power Steering Fluid vs. ATF+3

Hi All,

Many years ago, someone told me to just use transmission fluid in the power steering pump.
He said it's all the same.  Can ATF+3 be used in the power steering pump?
If not, does anyone know the difference?  Is there a preferred power steering fluid?
