I have been told that as all the states had not enacted new rules to authorize (compel?) double headlights in 1956/1957 and as some dealers in the states that had not yet enacted the new standard were demanding 300C's (not to be left behind by cross border dealers AND customer demand), Chrysler made a couple handfuls with single headlights. Does anyone have any idea how many were manufactured? How many are left? Either coupe or ragtop? Is there any web address at Chrysler to inquire about these historical facts? I have run into walls unless you are in the market for a new car.
