[Chrysler300] Land Speed Record for an Electric Car

Hello, everyone:
 
I know this is not 300-related but is definitely a question of whether or not the electric car about to undergo time trials this May in Nevada is actually a car or an electric rocket on wheels.
 
The vehicle is 32 feet long, about 3-4 feet wide, is powered by a bank of Exide wet cell batteries producing some 600 volts to drive 2 x 50 hp AC motors torqued up by a DC to AC converter. The vehicle has no brakes and no steering and little safety precautions for the rider. 
 
A speed of more than 300 mph will be attempted to break the land speed record for an electric car. FIA will be asked to qualify the time.
 
Any thoughts as to how this vehicle should be classified? My apologies in advance if this is not suited for the listserver, but I'm curious to hear what others think.
