[Chrysler300] I stand corrected and door panel clarrification

Hello 300'ly toall!
     A few weeks ago I requested advice regarding chrome plating of aluminum. I incorrectly stated the wrong part to be plated thinking it was aluminum.  Wayne Graefen was correct in his stating in his restoration guide for the C that the door pull filler panel is to be chrome plated.  I incorrectly thought that this panel was the aluminum textured door insert next to the armrest.  This part is bright-dipped anodized aluminum as correctly listed in Wayne's guide. The part I was referring to was the pot metal strip between the armrest and the interior door panel.  This is to be chromed.
     The bright-dipped aluminum panel can be refurbished.  I have had mine done in a two step process.  My stainless refinisher in Lawton was able to remove all dents and scratches while preserving the textured surface.  Sihilling metal polishing in Santa Ana, Cal. is doing the re-bright-dipped anodizing of this aluminum part.  If this is as good as the other chrome work that Sihilling has done for me, this will be an excellent source for restoration work for all bright-dipped anodized aluminum trim pieces.  
      Apologies to Wayne Graefen for misquoting his book. I will keep you all informed when I receive these pieces in a few weeks.   ROB KERN
