Re: [Chrysler300] Turn Signal Switch

Paul,

The actual cancelling switch is located on top of the steering column
in between where the column goes thru the firewall and the bottom of the
dash. It is a simple switch held in place by 2 phillips head screws. It
is curved to conform to the column. It has 3 wires which go into a
single plug. Finally, you must save the roller which is pressed into
place as none of the NOS switches I have found have this piece, no big
deal to swap.

My G had the same symptoms you describe. They went away after I
replaced this switch on the column.

Best regards,

Richard Osborne

Hello Everyone,

Can someone please explain the operation of the Automatic Cancel Turn
Switch. The switch on my "G" only works in a manual mode, that is, I
have to remember to turn it to the (center) off position after
completing a turn; it won't self cancel. Its hard for me to understand
how the switch can cancel electrically without a physical connection to
the steering wheel like the later model cars. Thanks.
