Hi all: These rods are plentiful and cheap at wrecking yards. Extract several, take only the good ones and keep them in your tool box. If there is a chamfer on both ends, chances are that it is a good one. If one end has no chamfer, toss it, it is worn. You never know when you or a friend will need one. I experienced the problem of a shortened rod 400 miles from home in my '66 300. Had I known then what I know now about the rods wearing short, I would be $600 richer.
