Paul and Group- It was Sgt. Turello that drove a black 57 300C convertible. If you check some video stores such as Sun Coast Video they have (sometimes) vcr tapes of episodes of the series and if you are lucky you can find the pilot movie. One of his fellow officers drove a 59 Desoto 4 dr. ht.The cars in the show are all late 50's and early 60 vintage as the show was placed in the early 60's, first in Chicago then Las Vegas. The producer of the show took great pains not to damage the C or the Desoto, however they trashed quite a few 59 Fords and late 50's Chevys and other GM's, which at first thought is great fun, it is somewhat of a shame- after all they aren't getting any easier to find parts for either! To quote the jacket on the pilot movie vcr-"hard hitting and fast-paced action in an era when cars had fins, rock and roll was king and the good guys always wore black."
