Lifter lash

Putting together a 1962 413 (though the block and heads are actually
1964).

The rockers are non-adjustable.

I have installed new lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, and rocker shafts.

I have just tightened down the rocker shaft bolts to 30 pounds.

Engine is currently at TDC.

My machinist said at this point I should have some movement with the #1
push rods.

What I have is very, very little movement, though the pushrods can spin,
but there is little up & down movement.



Am I fine or am I screwed?
