I have a 300 sport that came with original seatbelts. Mine were saddle tan-ish in color and a heavy, coarse weave. It was my understanding that they were a dealer installed set. I replaced them with saddle tan-ish finer weave because it was my understanding that the finer weave was what came from the factory. I have always been told that in 1962 what you got from the factory varied with when your car was built. Earlier in the year some things were one way and later in the year another. Apparently continuity wasn't a big deal in 1962...so they both might be from the factory. My belts are made from an off-white heavy weave material. My first H had black belts made from a finer weave material. The belts on Jim Murdoch's H that is for sale are black, but the belts that were on Gary Winthrope's H appear to be like my off-white ones.Which is correct? Are they both correct? Doug W.
