There were never any spring special packages for Chrysler 300s in the Exner era at least. The '58 NYer owner you talked to is verbally creating documentation that he can't back up. The typical spring special package was the trunk trim addition and either added rocker panel stainless, roof stainless or side trim additions depending on the make and model. But the wire wheels would have been an installation by a dealer or later owner and the 40" mudflap was made in someone's driveway and certainly not by Chrysler. Spring Specials were particularly popular on the '57 and '58 Dodges where it was a side trim and rear license area addition.
