I agree that only the 1960 New Yorkers had the trim on top of the front fenders. It sounds like someone got replacement fenders off of a New Yorker and decided that they liked the trim. Any you might have seen on a 300F was owner-added. Similarly, and occasionally, I have seen 300F's or 300G's with NewYorker side moldings, around the wheelwells, etc. ; that stuff never came from the factory that way. It perhaps COULD have been dealer added at customer's request - lots of strange things went on back then ! John
