Replacing the floor pan

Hi all,
I'm getting ready to replace the floor pan in my 62 300 convertable. I have a 
62 newport parts car with no rust. I'm looking for a few pointers from 
anybody who's done this. Living my life in southern California, I have very 
little experiance with rust. Welding it it in is no problem, but I am not 
sure exactly how to cut the old one out. Hopefully I'll start a long thread 
on rust repair, because I've got alot of it ahead.
