I ran 14.69 with my 440 powered F at E-Town without the air cleaners. They ARE restrictive and I went faster without them. I do not have a hood pad to worry about. If the car does not have sure grip, leave everything in the trunk. You will need it for traction, especially with A/C up front. Loosen, but don't remove the power steering belt. Pump the front tires up to maximum inflation. Remove the sway bar for maximum weight transfer. If you can practice before the race, do so. It will help you get used to driving on a track and getting a good light. If you don't cut a good light, you will loose. 300ly, Don ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Grove Grove Automotive <groveautomotive@xxxx> To: paulholm <paulholm@xxxx>; <Redwoodlse@xxxx>; Ray Jones <hurst300@xxxx> Cc: <chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, June 04, 2002 11:51 PM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Mopar vs Bowtie.....Group Effort > Do NOT run without the air cleaners - the car will slow down (whether it > "sucks in" the hood insulation or not). > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Ray Jones <hurst300@xxxx> > To: paulholm <paulholm@xxxx>; <Redwoodlse@xxxx> > Cc: <chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, June 04, 2002 11:25 PM > Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Mopar vs Bowtie.....Group Effort > > > > If you run with no aircleaner, make sure the hoodpad is secure!
