Hi Owen, It would be a nearly incredible job to replace this paper. I have seen one restorer use a razor blade edge to cut out the old paper by using the interior sheetmetal braces as a guide. This leaves the paper under the braces so that there are no rattles. This restorer then used a bead of caulk or the like (use a caulk or body putty that is paintable,i.e., not silicone) to provide a neat edge or transition along the cut edge of the paper (and along the edges of the braces). The metal previously under the paper was then painted just like the remaining metal. It gave a neat and clean look, but of course, not original. Any tips on installation would also be greatly appreciated........do you have to seperate the outer skin? Thanks for the help.
