Thanks for the headsup John, being a guy who deals a lot internationally I'll keep an eye out for his name - and his reputation.


But just in case any of you think this is a trade exclusive to eastern Germans, I'm afraid there are Americans of the same silk !

The name is Jim Stahley from New Jersey. He sold us a clone at Hershey 14 months ago (for $20,000 !!!) that turned out to be a complete disaster. You could scoop the sludge out of the 54 DeSoto engine with an ice cream scoop. The splines in the transmission were likewise completely toast. Even the rear wheel bearings were WELDED into the housings since he had to shim the cheesy aftermarket wheels to fit onto the car.

He'll likely be in Hemmings and at Carlisle and Hershey again next year trying to unload some more junk with a recent Maaco paint job. We've all been taken a time or two - I hope this helps any of you avoid having the same experience.
