Gary, Ron: The deleterious effects of today's fuel on old and NOS parts seems to come up about quarterly. I received what I discerned to be very knowledgeable information and a reasonably-priced fuel pump rebuild kit from Tom at: 781-335-1579, 781-335-8860; thecellar@xxxxxxxxxxxx; http://www.then-now.com/parts.htm; Weymouth, MA. Their website is pretty comprehensive. I recommend giving strong consideration to replacing the synthetic hoses leading into the fuel pump and between the carbs, also. There are some other synthetic elements from the filler tube gasket to the fuel pump and inside the carbs that may also provide you more excitement than you want. Congratulations on recognizing and addressing this significant safety problem and good luck on finding the right parts made out of the right materials that are not soluble in today's gasoline. Interestingly enough, the e-mail addresses above were incompatible with our e-mail server, as they are converted to HTML format. I had to copy this into MSWord, then back again to get it to "go".
