Hello out there - After rejoining the club after an absence of about 15 years, and starting work on a G hardtop, I plan to be at Tahoe. Been awhile since I had a carburetored car. Tahoe is about 6000 ft. + elevation, will that be a problem for the car? As I remember, I tied the butterfly open on my '67 Barracuda when at high altitude. Also, best gas we can get in CA is 91 octane stuff, any ideas as to how best to climb steep grades on low octane propellant? Maybe on a trailer behid a Dodge turbo cummings diesel? I plan to drive the G to Tahoe, probably via Mammoth and Gardnerville, that route gets up over 8,000 ft. elevation in places. ------------------------ Yahoo!
