Fern, I just picked up my re-cored radiator from the shop yesterday. They did the re-core, tested the trans cooler for leaks, and pressure tested the unit for a very reasonable price. I asked lots of questions befor giving him the radiator. He wouldn't divulge the supplier of the core (something about trade secrets) but assured me it is a heavy duty unit and it was made in USA. I must say that it looks a lot tougher than the original core. It has 3 rows of 5/8" tubes. He said that the tube width alone doesn't make it good or bad, the things that are important are the volume of water that can flow through the tubes and the fin count. Hope this helps.
