Hi all: I've replaced weatherstripping on trunks several times and had great difficulty making a really neat job with regular adhesives. When I did my 300F, I decided since I wanted a "perfect" job, I would try Permatex black silicon adhesive sealant. It requires curing overnight and using masking tape to hold the weatherstripping in place but the results were excellent. Any excess can be wiped off immediately leaving a nice finish. Also, any depressions in the body metal beneath the weatherstripping can be filled, unlike regular adhesive and also eliminating any space where water may enter.
