Rich and Group-
  My 55-58 Factory Parts Manual does not list this number in the part number
index. I tried numbers close or even tried transposing a few and nothing. It
might be a truck part?  I don't have a truck parts manual back that far. Joe

I don't have a parts book, but item   7926542618 on ebay is part number
1955 1956 55 56 Chrysler Desoto Molding #1690318 NOS

Seller's comment:  It is NOS and in excellent conditon. It is 41 1/2"
long and 7/8" wide.

Perhaps someone with a parts book could determine if it is for a 300.  I
don't see anything exactly like that on my C-300, but the lower inside
door spears are about 43" x 7/8"
