Hi Russel, Mopar did not use gaskets on the exhaust manifolds of all big blocks from 59 to at least 66. Because there was a fresh machined surface on the manifold and the head they were not necessary. They usually didn't leak as long as the manifold bolts were torqued properly. The chances of the two surfaces coming together again after 40 years with no gaskets is slim though. Any auto parts store will be able to get exhaust manifold gaskets for a big block. Make sure the surfaces are as clean as possible, and torgue the nuts to 25 lbs ft of torque. Re-torque after the engine is warmed up, and check again after everything is cool. You should have no problem after that. 300ly, Don ----- Original Message ----- From: <russellhousen@xxxxxxx> To: <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 2004 11:33 AM Subject: [Chrysler300] Chrysler 300G Exhaust Manifold Gaskets Just tried ordering Gaskets for the exuast manifolds for my 300G Andy Bernbaum told me he didn't think they were used for that motor. Anybody shed some light?
