For your information: Some years ago I bought a set of 4 'Roll Master' car skates; NEW Products, 35 Orlando Drive, Raritan, NJ., 08869. 908-526-3800. These have been great for moving cars around in the garage. This 'Roll Master' style of car skate has big solid rollers and a flat recessed trough to hold the tire. They are expensive, they are heavy, and they are a quality product. A single person can even move an Imperial on these skates with only minor effort. When I built a second garage, it always seemed the car skates were in the other garage. Rather than haul them back and forth, I bought another set of car skates. Advancing age might be making me cheap and foolish because I bought a less expensive brand; these skates are "V" shaped pieces of steel with small rollers. Last weekend I used them for the first time when I went to move the H. I put it on the new skates and shoved. I moved. It didn't. It would have taken three men and an angry mule to move it. I put it on the Roll Masters and with one hand the same car moved easily. Perhaps my experience will be to your benefit. Bob Merritt NY. ------------------------ Yahoo!
