Welcome to the Club Rich!

While I don't have an early 300, I do have a 300G, and live in the Bay
Area.

Hello from another new member. I am Chrysler-less at the time (unless
you count my 1999 Jeep) but am looking for a 1955 or 1956 letter car.
I could really use some guidance on where to find reference material
on pricing of early 300's. I live in the Bay area and have found a
'55 and a '56 advertised within a couple hours drive. I would prefer
to go into the shopping mode somewhat prepared.

Would also like to hear from any neighbors owning early 300's.

I'll throw another hat in the ring on the question of rejuvenating old
leather.
The product called "Rejuvenator Oil" from Leatherique
http://www.leatherique.com/ was used on my Gauguin '57 300C factory
original leather in 1987 just one time and not renewed until a few owners
later in about 2001. The leather was not only softened by the original
application but required no further maintainence for 14 years. And the
leather is still excellent now that a second application has been done.
Marv Raguse now owns the car.
I know Lexol is the popular hobby answer for leather, but Leatherique has
equally outstanding or superior products in my opinion.

I bought a 55 4DR Imperial 6 months ago for my nephew to drive. We got it
running and now he doesn't want it(actually, he screwed his grades up bad
enough that Mom put the kibosh on the car). Anyway, I hoping that someone
out there is also a member of an Imperial club and would be kind enough to
post this car for sale for me on their bulletin board. I'll give the
particulars on the car to whom ever responds.

Thanks for you help,

Zak

 Hello cross ram enthusiasts:

Anyone installed long ram tubes on a 66 or newer 300 or similar C body?
If so what problems were encountered and how did you work around them?

Subject: Identification tags

Carbs and distributors in particular were identified on older Chrysler
products by means of aluminum tags fastened to the item. They were
triangular in shape and retained by one of the fastening screws used to
assemble the item. They were under the bracket of the snap down that held
the distributor cap in place and under one of the screws the held the top
of
the AFB or WCFB.

Unfortunately they were easily damaged or thrown away by service people
years ago . The tags on my '62 300H's distributor and carbs are a case in
point. They are all beat to hell and barely readable. Does somebody
somewhere make reproductions of these tags? Thanks.
