A Bremerton, WA Chrysler dealer/collector made that purchase for that price. Cecil Don hadn't looked the car over BEFORE the sale, and when he saw the price it sold for, he could have kicked himself. He went out and saw the car in the "sold" lot, looked it over, then put his card on the windshield asking if it was for sale. A few weeks later, after the car was shipped to WA, the dealer called him and told Cecil that he would sell the car for $12,000. Cecil bought it, then drove there with a trailer, and brought it home. It looks and runs great. Looks like a 2.5 or better condition to me. I believe the price is an excellent one. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CROSSRAM, I'm afraid. A new starter, battery and voltage regulator were recently put in, and the AC has been converted. On page two there is a full page ad for the quarter panels. The phone number for Brian Weldon is missing a "4"; 714-444-2000. We have also added a page at the club web site for these panels. You can view it at: http://www.chrysler300club.com/rcmstuff/quart/ts.htm or from the Quick Index. As Ken Mack said at the last meet, we need to get people buying these panels if we have any hope MetalCrafters will tackle our other projects. So spread the word to anyone and everyone. It is unclear just how large this contingent is, but there will probably be some new cars for us to peruse. 2) The local live steam society (large scale model railroaders) will be operating their locomotives at the park on Saturday, while we are having our Concours. Another new and interesting form of entertainment. And there may be another last-minute addition to the already-full schedule of things to see. Too soon for official comments, but I'm workin' on it. So get those reservations in there. And remember, if you want to run on the drag strip, try and rig up something temporary to catch any overflow from your radiator tube. See you all in Dayton!
