Hi Group:

Took a rock in my windshield on the way to Carlisle in my G coupe.
Not demolished, but a pretty good starburst.  I know that PPG is still making
these windshileds, but I do not know the number.  Can someone send me the number
of the appropriate windshield for the coupe?  Please reply directly to me.

Thanks,

Pete Fitch

Hi again.  Several of you have recommended using "Collector Cars" to post my C300.  I haven't been able to find that
category on eBay.  Any of you know how to find that category?

Jerry,
Why don't you tell us what you want for the car?  Maybe someone on the list
will buy it.

OK Jerry; I'll answer both of your questions here.
Buy it now is a good venue if you just want to get it over. Set a price that
you want for the car (including your cost for listing and the final value
fee), and use that as a starting point. For the Buy it now option, jack the
price up several hundred, and use that #. The bidder then has an option to
either bid and wait to be out bid and keep topping the bid until the end of
the auction, or just "Buy it now", for the set price which gives him the car
on the spot as it were. Of course, you can play an exciting game of "waiting
with baited breath" and list it low....hopeing the bids will take you to the
$ you want. This can be protected with a reserve (at $90, I think. Returned
if it sells), to make sure you don't have to sell it too low. Also note that
many bidders wait 'til the last few menutes these days to bid to avoid a
bidding war during the week long listing.

As to listing follow the arrows. When you chose your listing catagory, pick
e-Bay motors. Then on the main catagory page, click on Passenger Car, which
moves you to the next box. Click on Chrysler, which moves you to the next
box. Click on 300 Series, and your ready to Describe the car on the next
page.

E-mail me privatly with ALL the info about the car which you want to list
and I'll put it into HTML code and e-mail it back to you with instructions
about what else to do. This will put the ad into a nice format instead of
just typing in the description box.

Good advise; but it's hard to figure out what Tom is saying.
They could be indeed oversized or does he just need to adjust properly to
get his pedal back? That is, without driving the car, is there any pedal?
His e-mail states that he puts the pedal to the floor. Could be adjustment
or needing to be bled.

In any case, Gary's comments are valid, I miss being able to turn my own
drum and rotors since I retired. Only use a machine shop with crank lathes,
head planers, and suchlike equiptment as the guy running them knows what
he's doing.

The ring grille emblems are available from Emblemagic. $125 and wait 4
months. Don't know if they also have the one for the 62 Sport.

Just installed the Astra-Dome on our '62 300 and have forgotten where
the connector connects that is from the condenser looking thing at the
base of the instrument cluster.

Thanks!

Hi.  Just wanted to say "Thank you!" to all of you who helped me get my '55 C300 posted on eBay.  It took me a couple
of days but I finally got it done!  Thanks again.

Good point Ray. Maybe Tom P. has another problem. I hooked onto his
statement "turned mine and took to much off".
Hope our comments help others to avoid trashing a good drum.
