Fred is in need of 1 carb for his G. He has done a super job restoring this black coupe and has not yet been able to drive it with the rams on with the rams on! He has been running a single 4 bbl on it for since he got it all back together a few years back. He has all the rest of the parts gathered up needed to put the rams on it but needs one carb. This car has been in the Cedar Rapids area for years. It was rescued by a Highway Patrolman from the side of the road where it had been abandoned back in the 70's and gone through several owners, I believe, since then. Fred has been the last few years gathering up all the correct pieces in able to put the rams back on it. The car is gorgeous, to say the least, and sure deserves the final finishing touch. Fred's number and address are in the current roster. I know he would appreciate a call or note if anyone can help him out. He's not into computers and I told him I'd be glad to post this note for him. 300'dly Dave & Carolyn Schwandt [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 3 Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2002 19:53:38 -0400 From: "Langendorfer" <langendorfer@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: 300J and Ram 300K Head Casting/etc. question Folks: Anyone know the casting numbers for the 300J and Ram 300K heads? I think these are spelled out in one or more of the older Mopar Performance magazine/specialty books I have seen, but am having trouble locating this in the mess called " My Archives" . I believe these are different castings from the 413 340/360hp 4 barrel heads, to accommodate the 1.74 exhaust valves (like the 915 and 906 440 Magnum Heads). Any help on this , including other differences like number of valve cover bolts (4 versus 6), rocker stands (needed or not), etc. would be appreciated!! Thanks, Keith ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 4 Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2002 23:15:02 -0400 From: "PaddyCaddy ." <paddycaddy@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: C300 Parts needed Anyone know of a reliable source for.... Oil Filler Cap - original style (not replacement aftermarket!) Fuel sending unit with float in the gas tank. and, if you're really good... the front and rear long horizontal lower body chrome bead moldings (the ones that always get pinched badly by the bumper guards). thanks in advance for any help. I found a 1962 Chrysler 300 4 door ht (Non Letter Car) in a Junk Yard the other day. The car is all there, runs and drives fine with small amount of rust. Interior is all there only the radio was removed and that's it. The car is white with tan interior with bench seats. The owner of the yard is unsure what he wants to do with the car, Scrape it for parts or try and sell it! He offered it to me for 500.00 cash. I would love to have the car but with another "L" soon to be on the way, I have no more room! The owner is going to send the car down in to the yard this week to be pulled apart if I don't get back to him!! Does anyone want this car? Let me know ASAP! The car is in the South Eastern Part of PA, the name of the yard is Great Valley Auto Salvage, I don't have the phone number with me, but I just want to give you all a heads up on the car if anyone wanted it, if not I might just rescue the car anyway.
