The plastic gear made it to 206K miles on a 1974 New
Yorker Brougham that I had. There was no engine damage
when it gave up---the engine just stopped.
Is this also an issue for the 440TNT package engines
that came out starting in 1966?

Hi all:
Well, finally, eBay has a 300 that isn't called a 300E. It is called a
1955
Cadillac. In fact it is a 1955 C300. Looks like a nice restorable car.
See
it at:

Good luck,

Ok, I can not remember just what it is but there is something
in me that wants to know what it is with the sparkplug wires
in the pictures of the motor on this car.

Someone posted a notice about a G hardtop and a Fury for sale. I deleted
the
notice and now have someone that might be interested. Could you re-post
your
message and E- Mail address? Doug W.

The red C300 on ebay has been examined by Richard Palmer and Henry
Hopkins. They will gladly share their findings with any interested Club
member. Just e-mail Richard at hhrp@xxxxxxxxxxx

I have the 'Steele Rubber'2002 catalogue here and can't locate a motor or
transmission mount for any 300 application. The only ones they list seem
to
be for six cylinder cars up to 1960. They need your cores and cost around
$50.00/pair. You might phone them anyway?
If Steele Rubber Products did the mounts, I'd feel confident that they
would
be good quality. I've used their door and trunk weather-stripping and the
quality is the best I've ever encountered. Better than I would ever have
hoped for in fact, after seeing some reproductions that are out there for
my 1965 300. You pay a little bit more but the quality is worth it. Ryan
