I have a hood, a right front fender, part of the metal around the grill, and the part that the right brake scoop fits in. All pieces were in an accident, but are repairable. It looks like the car smacked a small diameter pole, such as a street sign. Even though the pole probably wasn't very large, it must have been pretty solid, because the car took a hard hit. The parts were on a white D coupe that I sold, so I no longer have a use for them. They came from a California desert car, so rust isn't a problem. If you aren't a body man, or don't know one, these parts aren't for you. Make a small offer, and be willing to pick them up in Escondido, California. That's about 30 miles north of San Diego, and about 20 miles inland from Highway 5. In the process of falling he heard a "snap" which was his right leg breaking. For those of you who are not aware Wayne suffers from the disease Lupus which possibly had some influence on this break. Chris said it was a clean break, but he was in for surgery yesterday and will be out of commission for at least six weeks. At this point it looks like they will not be attending the RI meet which is very disappointing to Christie and myself and I'm sure to some of you who know them. We always enjoy our time together during and after the meets. Also to make matters worse Wayne's new computer has been giving him fits, so I don't know if e-mail is the thing to send him at the present. I'm sure he will be out of the hospital and home in a few days and for those who are so motivated I'm sure he would appreciate a card or an e-mail once his system is up and working again. His mailing address is as follows: Wayne Graefen 228 Whiskey Ridge Trail Kerrville, TX 78028-8913 We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones in RI. If their is harsh engagement (it jumps), particularly when she's shifted into reverse, could that be a transmission mount? The manual makes no mention of that and instead suggest seven other possible causes, including: a) high idle b) high or low hydraulic pressure c) low-reverse band out of adjustment d) valve body malfunction or leakage e) accumulator sticking f) low reverse servo, band or linkage malfunction or g) worn or faulty front and/or rear clutch. Any ideas about a good way to start to locate the source of the jump? Also, in a related question, I've never changed out the trans fluid and filter, but I'm considering having it done this week. She's only got 74,000 original but of course she's 40 years old. Manual says to leave it unless hard driving, and it still looks good on the dipstick, but I don't know- after 40 years, seems like it can't hurt, right? Thanks a million, j __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! His spirits are good, but it sounds like he has a long way to go. He is now the proud owner of about a one foot incision in his upper right leg with a steel plate to accompany it. Therapy will be starting today and he will remain there for ten days to two weeks. At that point he will graduate to a walker and eventually get back to normal. Gon'na have to wait a while to drive the 4-speed F!! I'm sure he wishes he were twenty again so this process would go faster. Keep him in your thoughts, John Lazenby [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Your use of Yahoo!
