below you see new 3D printed stuff , thank you to Jamie and Bob for support / sample hardware.
Jamies reproduction efforts, Bob's help , coming through
Hey we prettied up your rusty ole firewall bracket , nice clear powder coat . Best lookin one on earth !
The main show is the C clip ; we made outer walls thick , no more falling out , really snaps in !
Made of carbon fiber fllled nylon , twice as much longitunal bearing area as stock . Forever part
While doing it , I noticed that deteriorated robber grommet in sample you sent . Mopar used it in all their throttle linkages , adds slop , sad distorted joke after 65 years .
So we came up with plastic one snaps into stock hole from one side , inner 5/16 hole for throttle or kickdown rod etc
It projects somewhat more ( longer) and when rod has a 90 , with washer cotter setup may have to filed slightly
Result : no slop in throttle linkage , especially rams . Add dot of grease under all
Available later this week on Forwardlookparts.com !
thanks to all
John G
