What I meant, and I do not intend to start an argument, is that everyone loves to be an armchair appraiser. Market value is determined by the fella who writes the check. Hagerty is in business to make money and everything it does or refrains from doing is to make money.
The best way to get an idea of value is to use the search feature at Mecum, BJ & BAT. Look at the cars sold over the past 10 years and average them out. That's what people paid (less fees) and is a good approximation of value. It may take a couple hours, but it is a good education.
Private sales are even a better indication of value and with a higher likelihood of a better car, but hard to track.

Looking at the photo #153 of Vin Plate you get the feeling the attention to detail was not a high priority. Between the Black speckled over spray, smudges of body color, missing rivets, and small section of wind lace needing to be tucked in you have reason to wonder what else did they slap together.
Curious if someone know the car.
