Re: {Chrysler 300} Patch Panel for 62 Front Fenders

Hi J Y
My son Steve brought a G   Drive train was all rebuilt, radiator, rear end, fuel tank, transmission, motor. This was all done in 2002. The gentleman who owned it was going to restore it so he started taking it apart and had some stainless polished and purchased seat covers. All interior door panels were removed.
Now I have everything out and have many parts on order. From doing the work myself and seeing everything I have to replace, I can truly see the love you put in restoring your car. Thank you!!! Your talent is amazing.
Where did you get the heal plates for the car? I saw an advertisement in the club paper but I get no response from the add. If you have a name please let me know. Where can I get a new radio and ignition switch surround for the dash?
Looking forward to seeing you and your wife again.
Thank you George
The gentleman we bought the car from is now 85 years old and said he is done with the car.

Good news is the H is based on the Newport, so front fenders are more plentiful in Southwest boneyards than New Yorkers.  Check the junkyards for Newport fender bottoms and maybe you'll luck out and a yard will cut off the bottom foot or so and you can have it welded on in place of your rusted piece.

I have the front of the rear wheel ( bottom quarter panel) patch panels , 4 pairs left from the last batch made and no plans to make anymore as the owner of the shop that fabricated those patch panels past away recently...
Try to find a metal worker or a classic car restorer/shop willing to take the time to fabricate that fender piece?

Subject: {Chrysler 300} Patch Panel for 62 Front Fenders

Hello 300 Club,

I am working on my 62 300H and need to find patch panels for the rear of the front fenders.  We have been informed that someone out there might make these.  If anyone knows where to get them, please let me know.

The rest of the fender is in really good shape.  Just need to see if we can find a patch panel.

Ron
