Minnesota legislators will discover just how vocal and angry the old car hobby can be. The old car people here in Maryland forced legislators to rescind a historic license tag bill. Legislators said they had never received so many calls, emails and even visits from the public until they messed with the old car hobby. The message is simple - don't mess with our cars. If your state should try something, join the crowd and tell them hands off my keys.

In California we have historical vehicle and horseless carriage plates that limit your driving, which is similar to what this proposal is. It's not like you have to have them on your car and I don't think I saw anything in the Minnesota law requiring every old car to have them.
