{Chrysler 300} 63 transmission cooling line filter.

Hey guys need help again. Working on addressing a few leaks on the 727. Ordered new cooling lines and they weren’t split with fittings for the in line filter. I know I can cut um and flare um myself. Just wondering if this filter is really needed? Also which line is filter in? The outgoing or return? Anybody know a good place to get the filter?
