{Chrysler 300} Started a messy project

Hi fellas, 

Just thought I’d share my current project, which is replacing the top dash pad on my 300 F. Mine was sagging badly so I purchased a new one from Sweden a few months ago. I finally got the nerve to start this task. Thanks to Steve Albu for sharing the step by step instructions. They are pretty good with exception of a couple of places that are vague. For example, it says to twist four metal tangs. Two to the left and two to the right of the speaker grill. It doesn’t mention the outside tangs are almost all the way over to the edge of the dash. I feel like I need Stretch Armstrong arms to reach them. It’s a very messy job. My pad literally crumbled in my hands. The padding was gooey and crumbling. I’ll post after pictures when I’m done, but I do have a question…When I removed the gear selector, there was a cardboard separator that fell out in several pieces. Is this required and if so, where can I source one?
