Thanks for that Henry. I have seen it before, more propaganda to tilt public perception away from that of the 57-59 models with its diseased fenders, rain soaked trunks, doors that could fly open and hoods that often followed. Great power trains though. I'll bet a lot of Mopar people said that. The 1960 cars were much better.

To change the subject from locomotive to letter cars I have just returned from Mecum where I did set gaze on the 300 L stick, which appears to me to be an auction type car, that is to say, a car that has not been in the hands of a loving owner for quite a while. It appears to be the real thing, but tires and in need of remedial improvements and correction of deferred maintenance. The chrome is so-so, paint no better and other trim is dull and pitted. Engine room was in good shape.

Looks like a 300G would be the pinnacle of the 300 evolution??? Obviously, opinions will vary but if I had a lazy $6000 in 1961, I’d be tempted by this film to visit my local Chrysler dealer.

NB: Visited the impressive train museum near Lancaster PA as part of the Club meet I attended. An eye opener for me. Really liked the old ones with the big cow catchers that I’d only seen in old Western movies.
