
Hi Allan;
There is a spring loaded bearing at the end of the column.
Possibly the snap ring has popped out of the groove.
It is difficult to reinstall since you have to compress the
spring.

----Hi Everyone,I could use some help with this steering column and horn.I tried to remove the steering wheel and now the steering column has quite a bit of play in it - both side to side as well as up and down. It seems like something like a retaining ring or something has let go within the column itself. We went thru the service and parts manuals, but did not see any reference to the inside of the column. Also, the horn does not work. (Just like the charger and the cuda when I got them. Even had to take my 2023 Hyundia Elantra in for horn repair this last summer!!)
I am not sure if this car is going to need a rebuilt steering box.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.Thanks, Allan Zolis
