I was gonna say I felt a deja vu moment when he mentioned it, I read about that nutty setup somewhere. Record players. dash mounted mirrors. Turn signal contrivances made necessary because of astra-dome. Those guys were great at cooking stuff up, eh?

Constant Level Torsion-Aire air suspension (rear leaf springs only-air bags) was available from Chrysler (at least on Plymouths) in 1959. Many were removed over the years when the bags started leaking. Probably what you're working with here. Dennis

Hi all, I've attached photos of an air ride device. That is on my 1959 300 E convertible.

It looks. Correct but to the best of my knowledge Chrysler never offered air ride.

It's an ingenious unit, which is oil lubricated so it's connected to the oil system for the engine.

We've removed it, servicing the car and plan on reinstalling it.

I've attached a couple of pictures of it, does anybody know what this might be?
