In the absence of any good sources with the ‘bumps’, I think it would be feasible tor a good machine shop or wheel restoration shop to add the bumps then rebalance the wheel.
My thinking has always been the flexing in a wheel has more to do with age and metal fatigue than radial tires. I think a set of 60 year old wheels from a low mileage car in a dry climate would still perform pretty well.
In the mid 1980’s when I was driving my first ’65 300 pretty hard there was always a wheel that would not hold a hubcap. Moved it front to rear, changed the caps around…..always the same wheel under hard cornering. I later discovered one of the wheels
had been replaced early in the cars life due to pothole damage. With tires removed, three wheels looked clean and solid inside, one had some rust and pitting and looked older. Guess which one was losing its hubcap?
