Back in late July, we circulated a message advising that our 300 Club member, Allan Klotz in Luxembourg, is working with a shop there that is willing to reproduce the 1960 Chrysler
300-F rear license plate bezel. This bezel will also fit other 1960 coupes, sedans and convertibles, but not station wagons.
I am tracking the responses from various of you 300 Club members, requesting these bezels. My list totals 22 bezels requested.
Please review the following correspondence we’ve received regarding these bezels and their reproduction. If you have not previously responded to me and are interested in 1 or
more of these, please reach out and I’ll add your request to my list.
Our earlier emails cited a $400 cost per bezel production – PLUS shipping cost and PLUS U.S. tariff and customs costs. Once we receive your final count, we will share this with
Allan and firm up all these costs. If it still meets with your acceptance, we’ll proceed to production.
I further discussed this with Allan at our recent Buffalo Meet, and he’s awaiting my final response, so he can move this project forward.
As we previously mentioned, this is a One-Time-Only project, so add your name to my list if you remotely think you’ll need one for your car. We may,
or may not, purchase a very few others for our 300 Club Store, but don’t count on one of these being available for you in the future!

I have taken the bezel (new) of my 300F and given that together with my old one and one not yet chromed, to the guy that can produce them. I also forwarded the e-mail from John
[Grady] regarding the pins, and I have agreed with him. I will bring my car to him, and then he can check how they fit when they are produced.

$400 by artisan bronze is a terrific deal
Do not cast the [bezel] mount pins in, tolerance into car body holes is zero (learned the hard way) pins fat.
Instead mark back of piece on the car body part then tap in there for 6/32 brass studs, use brass nuts, you can adjust fit slightly and pull it in tight.
Unique to 300F and always broken by light tap of bumper. Move bumper back 1/2” — by spacers under I always do now — It was fitted too close to this piece
I just received this email from Allan Klotz in Luxembourg re the rear license plate bezel for our 1960 300-F coupes and convertibles. Please let me know ASAP if you’re interested
in this bezel at the price point that Allan mentions! I’ve been discussing this with him over the past couple years, and no one else has been able to reproduce these bezels domestically.
Allan owns a handful of 1960 Chryslers - 300F and otherwise - and they’re all in beautiful show condition, so we can expect that this bezel will be a high-quality reproduction.

I finally got in touch with the company that made my bezel around the license plate.
He will cast them in bronze and then have them chrome-plated. The production prize will be approx. $400,00. Then there will be shipping cost to the US and custom duty in the US.
If I get a quick answer, I can maybe get one or two produced and bring them with me to the meet in Buffalo. [Allan did not bring a sample, since so many bezels were requested and their reproduction will be performed at one time.]
